I’m Lauren and I founded Project Gabriel about three years ago. I want to briefly share with you why this organization came to be. In May 2013, our baby boy, Gabriel, passed away from Trisomy 18. He changed my life and how I saw moms all around me. I realized just how many women there were like me — moms who had lost a baby. Whether it was through a miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss, we all knew the ache and the deep grief of losing a child. But the crazy thing was that we didn’t know about each other because no one talked about it. It became my mission to change that — to make a community where we could support each other and remember our babies. That’s what we do at Project Gabriel. For the moms I know, thank you for trusting me with your story. And for the moms I’ve yet to meet, I want you to know what a wonderful community we have here — full of women who love each other, support each other, and a place where all of our babies are remembered. I look forward to meeting you!
