A personal message from our founder
I can hardly explain in a few sentences how dear Project Gabriel is to my heart. I started this project in 2014, after losing our son in May of 2013. Our son, Gabriel, passed away shortly after he was born due to Trisomy 18, a fatal chromosomal syndrome. We learned of his condition when I was 20 weeks pregnant with him and carried him to term. I experienced the challenges that come with a pregnancy with a terminal diagnosis and then the loss of our baby. I know what it feels like to have your world stop and feel like everything keeps going on around you; what it feels like have your arms ache to hold your baby; how lonely it can be. I also know the hope and love that was needed to help us through the worst of times. Having experienced these things, my heart longs to help other mamas who have lost their babies. I am sorry for this to be the reason we meet, but I look forward to knowing you. I truly believe that women who have lost a baby have a special bond, and I look forward to sharing that with you.
from my heart,
